Totcho Balls

These delicious bite-sized totcho balls are packed with cheesy mashed tater tots and savory pulled pork, all wrapped in a crunchy pork panko coating. Cooked until golden and topped with BBQ sauce, sour cream, and fresh chives, they make an ideal appetizer.

COOK TEMP
400°F
COOK TIME
20-25 minutes
Ingredients
1 bag (32 oz)frozen tater tots (cooked and crispy)
1.5 cupscheddar cheese (shredded, mixed into the tots)
1.5 cupspulled pork (cooked, for the filling)
1 cuppork panko (for the crunchy coating)
BBQ sauce (for drizzling)
Sour cream (for drizzling)
2 tablespoonsfresh chives (chopped, for garnish)
Method
1
Cook your tater tots according to the package instructions until extra crispy. While still warm, mash them slightly and mix them together with the shredded cheddar cheese until it melts and binds into a workable dough.
2
Take a golf-ball-sized portion of the tater tot mixture, flatten it in your hand, place a tablespoon of pulled pork in the center, and wrap the tot mixture around it, rolling it firmly into a ball to completely seal the pork inside.
3
Roll each ball thoroughly in the pork panko to ensure an even, crunchy outer crust.
4
Bake or air fry at 400°F (or smoke on your grill) until the crust is golden brown and crispy and the filling is completely hot.
5
Transfer to a serving board, drizzle generously with BBQ sauce and sour cream, and top with freshly chopped chives before serving.
