Yellow mustard
Pit Boss Sweet Rib Rub
4 tabsbutter
1/2 cupbrown sugar
1/2 canDr Pepper
Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce
Method
1
Trim the spare rib rack, removing extra bits that might burn and squaring it up by cutting off the last rib.
2
Flip the ribs over and trim unnecessary extra fat to help them cook evenly.
3
Apply yellow mustard as a binder across all sides of the ribs.
4
Season thoroughly with Pit Boss Sweet Rib Rub, ensuring all sides are covered to maximize flavor.
5
Place the ribs on the smoker on the smoke setting for 3 hours.
6
Prepare a double wrap with 4 tabs of butter, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 a can of Dr Pepper.
7
Wrap the ribs tightly to prevent liquid from escaping.
8
Put them back in the smoker at 250°F for about 2 hours.
9
Unwrap the ribs and apply a layer of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce.
10
Return them to the smoker for around 1 hour, letting them run until they reach an internal temperature of about 199°F.
Check more for tenderness than for temperature!
11
Rest briefly, slice, and serve.
